We live in a world that's always on the move. We have our mobile phones, tablets and mini laptops. We graduate from college and begin our careers in New York, moving on to North Carolina, ending up in California with our options always open. We move from the apartment to a condo to a family size house. We have everything covered... but where is our altar?
Abraham lived centuries ago, but he too was a man on the move. Promises were made and provisions were given for life changes. The Lord could have been left in the dust of fond memories, but Abraham was determined to worship his God wherever he traveled. He always had an altar...(13:1)
When you plan your life moves my friend, do you also take time to plan for worship? When you vacation, do you have a chosen church in which to worship on the Lord's day? As you enjoy the promises and provisions of God, be sure to embrace the person and presence of God in a regular place of worship... where's your altar?
