"And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to the man and said to him, "Where are you?” - Genesis 3:8-9
Where did 2018 go? How will we make the best of 2019? As a New Year begins, we all have the same gift: 365 days, or 8,760 hours, or 525,600 minutes. Time is a gift and it passes ever so quickly. If we're not careful, our projects, people, passions, or problems will rob us of embracing and enjoying the main thing.
Adam was assigned a daily project to work God's garden. He worked quite diligently, along with handling the lifestock, birds and beasts. He was given a wife along with family responsibilities. In time he pursued tempting passions that led him into a devastating problem. So, at the end of the day, he and his wife were robbed of embracing and enjoying the main thing.
What is the main thing you might ask? Walking minute by minute seeking the Lord's will and way. Waiting at special times of every day to hear His voice calling our name. What is the main thing? Time with God. Do you want to make the best of 2019? Be careful to plan and protect the use of your time, so you won't be robbed of embracing and enjoying the main thing ... time with your heavenly Father.
"But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.” - Luke 10:41-42
