Contagious Faith ...

"The man bowed his head and worshiped the LORD and said, “Blessed be the LORD, the God of my master Abraham, who has not forsaken his steadfast love and his faithfulness toward my master. As for me, the LORD has led me in the way to the house of my master’s kinsmen.”  - Genesis 24:26-27
You can "catch" a cold, "catch" the flu, or worse yet, you can "catch" the norovirus. We never plan to get sick, but when some illness has a hold on others, it can surely get a hold on you. There's a lot in life that can be unintentionally "caught" by simple exposure. It's hard to avoid the stuff that's contagious.
Abraham was old, but thankfully nobody could "catch" that. Abraham was incredibly wealthy, but nobody could "catch" that either. But, there was one quality in Abraham's life that could be "caught". The day that Abraham's faith led to a wife for Isaac was the day that this servant's life was changed. That day he testified of  a new "caught" faith, as he "bowed his head and worshiped the Lord" and said, "the Lord has led me". It's hard to avoid a faith that's contagious.
Faith is personal folks. You can't live or be saved by another's faith. But, when you have and live a life of personal faith in your God, you will ultimately influence others. You never know who might "catch" a personal faith in God when such a faith has a hold on you. It's hard to avoid a faith that's contagious.

  1. Live in such a way that those who know you but don't know God, will come to know God because they know you!
